BONDST - Beverly Hills, located on Wilshire Blvd. and Crescent Dr. in the Thompson Hotel, is a trendy restaurant with a warm minimalist interior design. Bond St. Beverly Hills features Japanese-inspired dishes by chef Hiroshi Nakahara. The cuisine is New Japanese with European and Asian influences. The menu offers an array of good dishes - broiled Chilean sea bass, spicy crispy shrimp, sesame crusted rolls - and the seaweed salad and chicken dumplings wrapped in soy milk skin are particularly nice. A bustling bar scene can be found on the second-floor lounge, with potent cocktails and a menu of smaller plates with smaller prices. The mezzanine-level space boasts an eclectic mix of modern and vintage fixtures (think Manhattan), and the slightly different bar menu features the same fare offered at Bond St. Beverly Hills below.
